Fantasy Baseball-- Asakusabashi Bazookas Team Report
The chart shows a slow start for my Yahoo team, and a good start for my first ever real people that I meet CBS league. How long have I been graphing fantasy baseball performance? It goes back further than the chart. In 2005, someone stole my computer which had years of older data.
Team Report:
Miguel Cabrera, Albert Pujols and Johan Santana are dominating. No surprise there. But, generally Santana starts slow, so it is nice to see all three at their potential early. Nick Swisher, Jeff Francoeur and Jorge Posada all hover near .300. Can it last? Strong starts for Derek Lowe, Matt Capps and K-Rod.
Robinson Cano (26/71, .366, 5hr) hit a grand slam yesterday. Can I get Jimmy Rollins for him? (That was quick. Guess not.)
Pedro Sandoval (19/65, .292) raises average 46 points today with a 4/4, gets his first homerun and raises rbi total from 1 to 4. Is David Ortiz (15/69, .217, 0 hr) next? It's April, so a good day can mean a lot.
Adds:
4-26 Pick up Micah Hoffpauer, Cubs, 1B/OF-- he's the real deal if Derrek Lee is injured.
4-19 Pick up Joel Zumaya, Tigers, RP-- now off the DL, he could soon close games
4-19 Pick up Asdrubel Cabrera, Indians, 2B/SS-- best young infielder available (it is surprising how old most infielders are, these days)
Drops:
4-26 Clay Buchholz, Red Sox, SP-- could dominate, dropped because Masterson took over for Dice-K, Smoltz is up in May/June, window of opportunity closing
4-19 Jed Lowrie, Red Sox, SS-- injured
4-12 Phil Hughes, Yankees, SP-- nothing wrong with him, but can any pitcher be good in the new Yankee stadium?
3-30 Ryan Spilborghs, Rockies, OF-- seems to be losing PT to Dexter Fowler (or so, I thought)
Yahoo Team:
Nothing to brag about, so I will not.
