A Wedding Off-Broadway
Saturday night, we visit Bill Patten, at his regular gig at Dusty’s. Bill marries Kelly in November. Joe, their wedding musician has had a heart attack. Kelly seems to be under some stress. “Some people expect weddings to be mini-Broadway productions,” Bill tells us.
Monica and I have our ceremony planned. Cake, flowers, tux and dress are taken care of. Someone at the church will make the tableclothes at the reception match Monica’s dress. We are communicating with our photographer, and are picking out the poses. We have a party planned after the reception at the motel where family is staying. We even have a ride to our honeymoon flight. The last detail is food which Donna will pick up from Byerly’s. It is not a Broadway production. But, we are happy with it.
