A Week and Change of Baseball
In the NL West, the Giants, Rockies and Padres are still competing. In my Fantasy League, there are seven teams still competitive of the twelve, making a great race.
Bashibashi, in blue, has not looked outstanding in the standings, but with the potential of 90 end of season points is still competing for first place. The team has seven closers and is now making up points in saves. The team is third place in homeruns, after a slow start, and now needs a push in RBIs for several points. WHIP is also a key category as 1.26 (or 1.25) instead of 1.27 is worth several points and a couple points in ERA are also possible. Lincecum at the Rockies, Hudson at the Nationals, and spot stater, Tommy Hunter at the Athletics go tonight. As all three match ups look to be pitchers duels, with tough young pitchers opposing, these should be low scoring games. (It is amazing how often both sides have a low scoring game against the tougher pitchers or how often both sides have a high scoring game when just one of the pitchers is not as good.) Spot starter, Nick Blackburn, did well Wednesday in the post clinch game with the win and 7br in 7ip.
