Diary Entry

Yesterday morning, I DJ'd a KALX shift from nine to noon. It was a lot easier than usual, since I don't expect to DJ much for a while, and I felt free to burn a lot of my favorites. "Running, Jumping, Standing Still" by Jack Koerner is a favorite of the moment. If I do travel interviews for "Sight Unseen," I'll use that as theme music.

The new Mubbla Buggs CD, which Tom Surowicz gave me for Christmas, got excellent caller feedback. Tom told me Mubbla Buggs was "fun". So did the callers.

I looked for MC Lars and the CD seems to be misplaced, so KALX listeners heard Mighty Casey as the token rap track.

Last night, I attended an ASQ meeting, where employment opportunities were discussed. Am I interested in employment opportunities? If I was, I would have said something. Instead, I announced opportunities.

This morning, I went to the writer's group, announced this blog and read two poems. I was happy that Stan Whitehead, who has been taking it easy due to chemo treatment, was able to attend for a few minutes.

Radio, professional societies and writing have dominated my time over the last four plus years. So, if you are reading this entry, you pretty much know what I've been doing between October, 2000 and the present. It seems like I've learned enough for another degree, this past four years, though, it's fitting that my recent life is unaccredited. Now, I am pursuing a "degree in travel". Tomorrow, I hope to go to the Half Moon Bay library and plan my upcoming Asia trip, since I'm planning to get an All Asia Air Pass.

Tonight, I'm staying at the Pidgeon Point Lighthouse, between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, where all of the guests seem to be healthy.
