Fantasy Baseball Week 2
The Yahoo team advances to 78 points (second place) on strong performances by Shane Victorino (13/28, 8r, 1hr, 5rbi, 2sb, #1 in the Yahoo game) and Brandon Phillips. Five closers-- Conteras, Burnett, Kimbrel, Valverde and Lyon gathered 7 saves without an earned run. The Beard gave up five earned runs without a save. Ballyhood still dominates hitting categories and still lags in the pitching categories, except saves.
The Asakusabashi Fishiokas lead the CBS league with 95 points. Pitching categories have 53/60 points due to Edwin Jackson's 13 K, 1 r performance and Jamie Garcia's 9K, 1 r performance. The closers-- Perez, Feliz, Farnsworth and Fuentes gathered 11 saves on the week without allowing a run. Matt Kemp's 5 SB helps Fishi to 11/12 in that category. Logan Morrison, off to a strong start, replaces Manny Ramirez, retired, in next week's lineup. Mike Stanton, who hurt himself in game one, should be more productive as well. Alexi Ogando replaces Manny on the roster. Though a two start pitcher, Ogando is benched against the Yankees.
