Fantasy Baseball-- Week 20

Asakusabashi is now in third place, and with pitching and breaks gets back into second. Ballywood is in second place, strategically positioned to regain first, if I make sure players actually play.

Streaming two starter Tim Stauffer (4 K, 13 ER, 11.700 ERA, 1.600 WHIP) played bad teams and still could not get them out. Alexi Ogando (2.2 INN, 6 ER, 20.250 ERA, 3.750 WHIP) also played a bad team, but at least was pulled quickly. Halladay (W, 4 K, ER, 1.421 ERA, 1.737 WHIP) in one start , H. Kuroda (W, 10 K, 2.025 ERA, 1.200 WHIP)
in two starts and B. Morrow (3 K, 5.143 ERA, 1.143 WHIP) in one start helped. The closers-- Feliz, Perez, Farnsworth (2W, 4S)-- pitched a combined 9 inning no-hitter, allowing just two walks, bringing some redemption. Rain cost Halladay a start. This week brings four two start pitchers to compensate. Henderson Alvarez, TOR, is added rather than Aaron Harang, as adding Harang before LAST weeks deadline gave no priority.

Why is Ballywood strategically positioned? First, there are extra position players to make up missed games and hopefully get first place back in hitting categories. This is possible since SP are reduced as IP is 64 above pace. Second, ERA and WHIP should advance with Hernandez, Pineda, D. Hudson and C. CarpenterĀ as the lone starters. Also, K should remain in first place as K/9 leads the league. Bourn (4SB), Howard (.400, 2HR, 8RBI), Victorino (.417, 7R) and closers (6SV, 15 K) led Ballywood last week.
