Fantasy Baseball-- Week 14

I am jumping the gun, as there are still Sunday night games to play, but at this moment Asakusabashi is in second place with 89 points (no change) and Ballywood is in first place with 92.

Roy Halladay (CG, W, 3.00 ERA, 9K, 1.00 WHIP) won his second consecutive game. Kyle Farnsworth won a game and, after a drought, so did EVERY Asakusabashi active starter and bench starter. The rest of the active list: Liriano (W, 7K, 2.57, 0.86), Morrow (W, 10K, 1.28, 1.00), Kuroda (W, 4K, 0.00, 0.57) Garcia (W, 3K, 8.44, 2.07). The bench: Harden (W, 6K, 3.00, 0.67), Nolasco (W, 3K, 0.00, 0.78), Ogando (W, 8K, 2.70, 1.08). Based on a great week where the bench was stronger than the starters, everyone can be started with confidence. Feliz had a nice week with 2 saves, Farnsworth, 1 save and Perez one save. Wins outnumbered saves. The two-starters, to go with Halladay and Liriano, will be Morrow, Nolasco and Garcia. Can as many wins come out of eight starts as out of five? Uehara was dropped for Arizona's fill-in closer David Hernandez, so now there is a full contingent of active closers for the first time since Fuentes had the 9th, and Lidge could be close to returning.

Asakusabashi had another strong week for stolen bases with 11. The demotion of Dee Gordon (4SB) seems to be imminent, so he gets benched. Jose Reyes (11-19, 4R, 2SB) before possibly hurting a hamstring, gets benched. Update: Just a Grade 1 hamstring strain, so he plays after all. Andres Torres (1 SB) turned into a bench player, so he gets dropped. It will be hard to continue the stolen base pace with Rafael Furcal, Daniel Murphy (dropped for Pedro Alvarez) and Travis Hafner in their places. And, it was an anemic week over-all. Though it appears the team may be able to keep up the pace, there is no hurry to trade for pitching.
