Fantasy Baseball-- Week15
Asakusabashi rallied on Saturday and spent Sunday morning in first place, then receded back into second place, with 90 points. Ballywood, receded into second place, after finishing first in the weekly standings ever since May 23. Asakusabashi has more points than Ballywood for the first time since May 30.
Ricky Nolasco (W, 1.125 12K 1.00), Jamie Garcia (2W, 2.25, 9K, 1.17) and Brandon Morrow (W, 4.85, 13, 1.00) collected four wins in six starts. Roy Halladay (2.57, 7, 0.86) added a nice start. Francisco Liriano (10.38, 4, 2.31) pitched so poorly that Razzball officially threw in his towel. Closer for a week, David Hernandez (4SV, 0.000, 5, 0.30) was great. Perez and Feliz added two saves a piece. Rich Harden does not get a two-start week, so is dropped. Glen Perkins, who looks like the Twins closer, if only because Matt Capps can not complete innings and therefore can not close games, is added. Over-all, a nice pitching week-- all categories scored higher than a typical week. Additional strikeout points are just a few Ks away if the pace can be maintained.

Hitting was better than week 13, but slower than pace for all categories except SB. Jose Reyes contributed zero as his Grade one hamstring injury transformed from a few days severity to a few weeks severity. Nunez of the Yankees will fill in for Reyes. A-Rod decided to get arthroscopic knee surgery, and will be out a month. Pedro Alvarez would be the fill-in, though he seems to be in the minors at the moment, so the team turns to All Star fill-in Scott Rolen. The best hitter of the week was Corey Hart (0.3103, 2HR, 5R, 4RBI, SB). Travis Hafner hit a grand slam. Matt Kemp (3R, 3RBI, 5SB) was the primary base stealer. As the competition bulks up, trading away hitting for starting pitching seems less of an option.

Napoli (4R, 2HR, 8RBI, .316) had a big week and has gotten more starts lately for the Rangers. Zimmerman (4R, HR, 2RBI, SB,.391) and Andrus (7R, 2RBI, SB, .370) also had good weeks in a down week for hitting. Ballywood gets back into first place with more HR and RBI. Hernandez (1.80, 16K/15ip, .73) and Zimmermann (W, 2.92, 1.05, 11/12.1ip) were the top starters. Hudson and Liriano had down weeks. Kimbrel and Valverde contributed 4 saves each.
