Fantasy Baseball-- Week 23

Asakusabashi advanced one point for the week and trails second by four points and leads third by five. Ballywood is in second by 1 1/2 points in a back and forth two way race.

One might expect five more starts after a Tuesday, but Asakusabashi had three, including a second CC Sabathia win. So, the advances in counting stats from Tuesday mostly did not hold. However, it was still a great pitching week. Perez had three saves. Feliz, Farnsworth and Cordero each threw a save. Jason Motte had a second save and seems to be the new Saint Louis closer, so it is nice to have him on the bench. There are three two-starts this next week-- Kuroda, Vazquez and Harden.

Hitting was solid. 12 SB was excellent-- Lawrie had three of them in addition to the standard three by Matt Kemp. Dee Gordon is back from injury, so he was added. Jed Lowrie injured his shoulder Saturday, so he was dropped. Jose Altuve was added for Eric Young, Jr. who did steal a base, but mostly sat on the bench. The bench is Shin-Soo Choo plus five pitchers, including R.A. Dickey and Aaron Harang, who line up as two-start pitchers for week 24.
